theravenboy: (stag less creepy version)

1. Bran's favorite subject at school is English (although he prefers to call it "Literature"). He works hardest in maths and biology, though. This is because he's thinking seriously about becoming a medical doctor. It's one of a very short list of careers that will permit him to return to rural Wales once he has his university degree.

2. Bran knows he's a good harpist. He doesn't think he's a great harpist. (He's right about that.) He doesn't think he'll ever be a great harpist. (He's quite possibly wrong about that.)

3. Gwion is a great harpist. Bran connected Gwion with the Gwion Bach/Taliesin of the old legends at some point not long after Will and Bran left the Lost Land. Being distracted by a number of things in quick succession (including, but not limited to, Eirias, Owain Glyndwr, Arthur, the Midsummer Tree and Light-induced amnesia), Bran never processed his feelings at having met Gwion and his grief for Gwion's death. It was only recently, after he recovered his memory, claimed the harp that Gwion made, and encountered Gwion at Milliways, that Bran really had the chance to express his utter awe for Gwion.

4. Bran's still occasionally baffled by Mordred. He loves Mordred as his brother, but he doesn't always understand him. If and when he ever meets Galahad, Bran will be still more baffled. It's not the same-sex relationship thing -- Bran's gotten used to that idea. The power dynamics of the Mordred-Galahad relationship will never, ever make sense to Bran, though.

5. Bran has a mild crush on River; it was never serious and it's already fading. He has no intention of doing anything about it. If River is threatened and Bran finds out, though, Bran is on the list of people who will draw on every power they possess to protect her.

6. Actually, Bran would do anything within his powers to protect any of the following people: Will, Mordred, Gwion, Owen, John Rowlands, Jane and her brothers, the Stanton and Evans families, River, Moiraine and Arithon. What he would do if one of the people on this list threatened another person on this list depends on the situation.

7. If Bran must use Wild Magic in order to defend someone, he will do so without hesitation. After the danger is done, though, Bran will almost certainly be disgusted by what he did under the Hunter's mask. If Bran uses the magic in anger, to harm someone willfully, he will be still more nauseated about his actions later.

8. Bran is much more comfortable with Owen Davies' faith (and, for that matter, with his own faith) than he was during the events of The Grey King. During the years when something indefinable was missing from Bran's life, he gradually began to take comfort in the rituals of chapel. Bran is content to attend chapel twice on Sundays, although he still doesn't go to midweek prayer meetings unless something is wrong.

9. Bran still doesn't like the idea of perpetual atonement for sin, but he understands it now. He has since the Tower of Ghenjei.
